How long have you been photographing weddings?

I've been shooting weddings for over 5 years - I average 16-20 weddings per summer season.

Do you shoot film or digital?

Both! The main body of my work is photographed on film with my Contax 645 and Canon 1V-HS. I love film, photographing with film cameras, and composing through their amazing lenses. I shoot digital film with my Canon 5D and Canon 5D Mark II. Both formats add more creative depth and style to my work.

For weddings, do you require a list of the photos we’d like taken?

I have a time-tested checklist to get you started. From there, you can add special family photo requests, guests who’ve traveled a long way, or any other special requests. Other than that, I'll simply be photographing your day as it happens.

Do you shoot with an assistant?

Most of my packages include an assistant. I require an assistant for events with 120 guests or more. In some cases I prefer to work solo thus creating a less obtrusive environment.

How long does it take for the proofs to go up online?

All weddings include online proofing. Images are up within 3 weeks of any event.

How long does it take to get the wedding album after the event?

Once my clients choose their images, it takes anywhere from 8-10 weeks. Albums are custom designed by me starting October 1 and ending the following mid May, then hand crafted by Cypress Albums in California. Expect a 10-12 week turn around during the holiday season. Deadlines to meet the holiday deadline are generally mid October. Albums are designed on a first come, first serve basis.

What is your photography style?

My style is mixed. Somewhere between fine art, lifestyle and journalistic.

Can I custom design a package?

Yes, my packages are designed to suit the many unique needs of my clients. Custom packages start at $3,800.

Do you have off-season packages?

Yes, during the months of October – May. High-season is June – September. Please contact me about off-season rates.

What kind of albums do you offer?

I exclusively carry Cypress Albums. All packages include a Wedding Album. I also offer Parent Albums, Proof Boxes, Mini Books, Folios and Presentation Boxes featuring Museum Matted Prints. Self Mounting Albums will be available this Summer.

Can I get my negatives (ownership of images)?

Yes, I have packages that include ownership of images or you may add them to any package a la carté. Scanned film and digital files are supplied on DVDs as high-res JPEG files.

How many posed photos will you take at our wedding?

It depends on the list of photographs you request. All group photographs are posed. I will "coach" you through the bride and groom portraits which are less posed—I keep that time intimate and natural. Everything else is documentary style. If you’re looking to have lots of photographs with your guests, my assistant is there to handle many of those requests. Contact me regarding creative photo booth concepts as well.
